A Macro series shot around the River Cherwell. Using my 100mm f2.8 L Macro lens this was particularly challenging close-up work. Time and patience in each small location was needed in order to build a sort of ‘trust’ with these little critters before they would allow me to get close enough to capture them.
Damselflies need warmth to generate energy so when the sun was out for near 2 weeks in the spring they could be found in high numbers around the smaller waterways of the Cherwell River in England
